DEI Policy

UCPI’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Policy commits the company to fair, merit-based treatment for every employee and applicant, with two areas of particular focus. On gender diversity, that means reviewing recruitment and pay data for bias, equal pay for equal work, and structured mentoring and leadership pathways to support women moving into supervisory, engineering and management roles. On the migrant and foreign employees who work alongside their Malaysian colleagues on our production lines, it means no recruitment fees, no retention of passports or personal documents, equal pay, safety standards and grievance access, and the freedom to resign or move outside company accommodation without coercion. The policy also covers multi-ethnic and multi-religious inclusion — prayer facilities, Ramadan scheduling accommodations, and safety communications in the languages our workforce speaks — disability accommodation, and a firm non-retaliation commitment for anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
