FY2025 Sustainability Report

Our First Sustainability Report

In 2025, U Century Plastic Industries published our first Sustainability Report — an honest look at how we’re doing on the environment, our people, and the way we run the business. FY2025 is our baseline year: the first time we’ve measured many of these things, giving us a clear starting point to improve from. Here are some of the highlights.

Looking After the Environment

  • Every bit of our regulated waste — all 3.82 tonnes of it — was sent to licensed recyclers in FY2025. None of it went to landfill.
  • We measured our full carbon footprint for the first time: around 1,336 tonnes of CO2-equivalent emissions across the year, from energy use, fuel, and transport. This is now our baseline for reducing it going forward.
  • We're exploring solar power and rainwater harvesting at our plants, and switching to LED lighting to use less electricity.

Looking After Our People

  • Zero workplace injuries and zero lost-time incidents across both our plants in FY2025.
  • Our team of 38 people completed 168 hours of training in FY2025. Around 3 in 10 of our people are women, including in leadership roles.
  • We contributed over RM6,500 to local schools, charities, and community causes, and held our first company Christmas party.

Doing Business the Right Way

  • Zero confirmed corruption incidents and zero regulatory fines or penalties in FY2025.
  • We're putting a confidential channel in place for employees and business partners to raise concerns, so people feel safe speaking up as UCPI grows.
  • Our reporting draws on internationally recognized frameworks, including the Global Reporting Initiative and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

This is our starting point, not a finished picture — and we’re committed to reporting on our progress, openly, every year.
